CLINICAL
TECHNICIANS
Let us introduce you to the clinical technicians. The technicians
are very much an extension of the doctors. We are highly trained in
the field of optometry, as well as other areas of the medical health
industry with some of our technicians being LPN certified. Educating
the patient is a very important role of the technician. A well
trained technician collects data from the patient to aid in the
doctor's examination and also performs important preliminary tests
which include, but are not limited to, visual fields, color vision,
depth perception, intraocular pressure and taking a digital image of
the retina with the Optos retinal scan. We may also provide
chairside assistance to the doctor by entering information into the
patient's chart and assisting with any other procedure the doctor
requests.
 
BUSINESS
AND FINANCE TEAM
Our Business & Finance department consists of two teams working
closely together. The first of these two teams is the patient
services team who gathers your financial and insurance information
when you arrive for your appointment. We will have answers to most
of your insurance questions, and will be happy to help with your
managed care processing if possible. When your visit is complete we
will summarize the services you received and review your fees. It is
our goal to serve your needs to the best of our ability.
The second of these teams operates behind the scenes. They are in
the area of accounts receivable. Their primary responsibilities are
processing electronic and paper insurance claims to your managed
care providers. They insure proper processing by reviewing each
claim individually.
COMMUNICATIONS TEAM
You have the opportunity to meet the communications department staff
every time a call is placed to either of the Lincoln or Adams
offices. You meet the front desk staff when placing a call to the
Beatrice clinic. These energetic people are trained to triage calls
when help is needed and to assist in scheduling appointments of all
types. They are also versed to handle some insurance and financial
questions, even though this is not their area of expertise. These
are the people that generate all of those letters and postcards to
remind you of your appointments, and of course make all those
reminder phone calls. There are over 50 years of experience between
6 fulltime staff in Lincoln and 20 years of experience between 2
front desk staff in Beatrice. Call and say Hi.

VISION
THERAPY TEAM
A friendly hello from the Vision Therapy Team! We are a caring
bunch of individuals trained under Dr. Kimberly Tucker to aid
children and adults with visual processing and visual efficiency
disorders. Vision therapy patients typically meet weekly on a
one-on-one basis with a member from our therapy team. Therapy
sessions are 45 minutes in length and home therapy is required for
reinforcement of what is learned during the office visual training
session. Commitment to the vision therapy program is essential to
the success of the desired outcome. We are excited to work with you
and your children to make seeing more enjoyable!
