  • Patient Services Specialist, Lincoln

    At EyeCare Specialties, we offer the most comprehensive eye care and technological advancements in the industry. It is the responsibility of the Patient Services team to make the patient feel welcome and valued, as they are first and last interaction. Their main duties will be verification and entry of patient information & demographics, filing insurance claims, and communicating with the patient and their insurance company as needed. In addition, this teammate will be responsible for maintaining working knowledge of all participating insurance plans in order to effectively process accurate payment posting to the patient’s account.

    Qualifications and experience in the following is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right individual:

      • Attention to detail and a willingness to learn
      • Proficiency with computers and other office equipment
      • Organization and prioritization skills
      • Attention to detail
      • Commitment to excellent patient care
      • Fast paced environment
      • Multitasking

    Scheduling Requirements:

      • 3 Saturdays a month, 1 evening per week
      • Regular and punctual attendance is an essential job function for this position

    At EyeCare Specialties, we offer the latest in frame styles, lenses and technological advancements in the industry. Our opticians have specialized skills to address our patients’ lifestyle needs to best recommend frames and lenses.

    Additional responsibilities include communicating current and new frames and lens options to patients, understanding lens materials and frames, maintaining patient flow and patient care calls.

    All Opticians work in a team environment and must have a positive attitude about the policies, procedures and philosophies of EyeCare Specialties.

    Qualifications and experience in the following preferred:

    • Assist patients in selection of eyewear, and give style advice as needed
    • Be comfortable making recommendations to patients
    • Proficiency with computers and web-sites
    • Organization and Prioritization skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Good Mechanical Reasoning Skills (the ability to visualize and understand the application of various devices)
    • Commitment to excellent patient care

    The Communications Specialist represents EyeCare Specialties to every caller. He or she is required to posses a cheerful voice that is clear and easy to understand. This applicant must use professional and proper grammar at all times.

    This applicant should be proficient in using a multi-line telephone system and answer all incoming lines as quickly and efficiently as possible. Experience using a computer to schedule or reschedule patient appointments is preferred. In addition, this candidate is required to update all patient information, including optometric insurance information.

    The Communications Specialist will work in a fast-paced team environment and must have a positive attitude about the policies, procedures and philosophies of EyeCare Specialties. 

    Qualifications and experience in the following preferred:

    • Medical office scheduling experience preferred
    • Strong communication skills
    • Experience using a multi-line telephone system
    • Proficient use of computers
    • Ability to use credit card, postage and fax machines
    • Experience updating patient information for patient records
