Looks & Books 2017July 18th, 2017
EyeCare Specialties is hosting the fourth annual Looks & Books book drive to benefit the People’s City Mission from now until Saturday, August 5. The public is encouraged to donate new or gently used children’s books to help children all over discover a love of reading.
Donations will be accepted at all Lincoln EyeCare Specialties locations:
‘O’ Street at 7930 ‘O’ Street, the Pine Lake location at 2943 Pine Lake Road and the Superior Street location at 2500 Northview Road.
EyeCare Specialties recognizes the value of reading in children and knows that fostering a love of reading at an early age stimulates the mind and prepares a student for future success.
We then invite everyone to join us for the Looks & Books shopping and sharing event at our Superior location on August 5 from 1:30-5:00 p.m. We will be offering a 30% savings* on eyewear at the event. We will also have reading stations set up, free food and a chance to win $200 in gift cards from EyeCare Specialties and Indigo Bridge Books.
People’s City Mission (PCM) is celebrating its 110st year as Lincoln’s primary homeless shelter. The Mission’s Homeless Prevention Center opened in 1990 as PCM’s primary distribution point for free food, clothing, household items, furniture, toys, and personal care items.
*Discount cannot be combined with insurance or other offers. Discount only valid during the event and only on the frame lines available at the show.
