Mikaela Betka, OD knows that patients have to see how much you care before they care how much you know. She lives by this mantra to help patients of all ages realize their best possible vision. Her quest is to help kids improve their vision in order to do better in school and in life. She’s an expert in children’s visual issues and leads our Vision Therapy department.
Education and Life
Dr. Betka wanted to return to her roots after receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from Northeastern State University. Growing up on a small farm outside of Diller, NE, she suffered a small eye injury as a child and knew she wanted to be an optometrist ever since.
In her personal life, Dr. Betka enjoys spending time with her husband and their family dog, Samson.
“My specialties are binocular vision and pediatric optometry. I love working with kids. I think it’s very important that kids have the best vision possible in order to do well in school and in life.”
